Lenten Prayer 2021 February 22, 2021

Filed under: Uncategorized — stpatrickrfc @ 2:22 pm

Dear Parents,

Throughout this Lenten Season (February 17-April 3) we ask you to participate in our Prayer for Life activity. As often as possible (hopefully every day) please pray the prayers listed below as a family.

PRAYER FOR UNBORN CHILDREN

God, Creator of all life, we ask you to help us protect all human life in every way we can. We especially ask you to bless and keep safe all children who today are in their mothers’ wombs. We thank you for the gift of life and pray that your will always will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

One OUR FATHER

Three HAIL MARYS

One GLORY BE

Dear Families,

In the spirit of Easter, the Parish Outreach Program has asked the Religious Formation students to help the members of our parish that are less fortunate. It is this time of the year when the food banks are depleted of the generous donations of food that they received at Thanksgiving. In addition, the situation with the pandemic has left many more families in need. You have always been so generous in the past and we hope we can call on you again in assisting us in a food collection for those less fortunate. If you find yourself in need, please reach out to our parish for assistance. You may call 631-265-2668.

We ask each grade level to bring in a particular item so that a variety of food is collected.

Level 1 Applesauce or Brown Sugar
Level 2 Juice or Coffee
Level 3 Canned Sweet Potatoes or Mustard
Level 4 Canned String Beans or Canned Pineapple
Level 5 Mustard or Pork & Beans
Level 6 Macaroni and Cheese
Level 7 Instant Mashed Potatoes
Level 8 Canned Corn or any of the above

We request all items be brought to the Parish Outreach office in the rectory between March 15th through March 19th. We thank you in advance for your generosity. May the Lord Jesus continue to bless you with His peace.

Sincerely, Peggy Soviero and Elaina Kedjiersi
